cx   - Federation 1st Generation X Cruiser (All the other races use CCX if I'm not mistaken, and the Klingons and Romulans have their own designations for ships that don't match standard nomenclature)

Lyrans are a no too.  The Kzinti are a possibility, but Larry Niven would have to be convinced that we wouldn't make some odd kind of furry porn with his creation... that's the rumor as to why he got real jealous of his copyright.  I'm not sure as to what DX, FA, FT and MS are.  I can't even come up with what they would mean in Naval Nomenclature, with the exception of FT probably is short hand for Flotilla, but that's a group, not a single unit.

Edit #2: The DX is the Klingon 1st Generation X Refitted D7 Cruiser.
