one change I made was to the shiplist.  I broke it into 3 files,a master, a weapons and ship spec.  Linked by an id. In theory. you would be able to link any ship to any spec.  For customization 60000 models (ships) can be added.  For comparison OP had <2300 models total.

your thoughts?
