Looking for Recommendations for models
« on: February 01, 2015, 08:40:44 pm »
Hello, I recently reinstalled SFC 2: EAW and OP. I am not crazy about the F-BB or the excelsior being the F-BC, so I was looking through battleclinic and the forums the past few days. Today I grabbed the outalance and will deckard tmp refit constitution, and was getting back on just now to get Gotafarmyet's TMP Connie retexture and his TMP Refit of the SFB F-BB as well as another Connie retexture. Only to find that the community dock had been removed today. Does anyone know if gotafarmyet maintains a website or alternate download location.

Also does anyone have any recommendations for new models or retextures? I like the TMP aesthetic, but some more detailed models than stock would be nice. Also any F-BBs or F-BCs that are TMP refits of the SFB variants that you could point me to would be nice. Also, is ship edit still maintained? I am having an issue with not being able to select a ship ui background. I have not really ever used mods for SFC or even played multiplayer, so I don't have a clue what is still out there at this late date and was hoping you would have suggestions.

I hope you don't mind me posting here, but this is the modeling forum and it says that advice goes here.

Looks like I am in luck, google revealed this thread: http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163393933.0.html, which still has working pictures. I think I would prefer the rear shuttle bay one, but either or both would be good. And I realize that beggars can't be choosers, so I will of course take whatever I can get.

With regard to the F-BC, I just don't like the Excelsior, the engineering hull looks too long with it stretched so thin at the rear. And while I think Taldren's work on the Yamato BB was decent, I thought the original SFB BB with a TMP Era Refit Style would be better looking. Since I was going to go with a traditional SFB Ares class BB, I thought why not go with a SFB style F-BC with appropriate TMP Era Refitting to make it match the rest. I like the slightly larger federation cruiser with engines on horizontal or 45 degree pylons look. Examples:

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, I think I found a similiar ship or a retexture of that F-BB model on Fileplanet's SFC3 models storage. I have an idea for what I am looking for in a F-BCH, so I might try to sketch up something so I have a design. Then I might throw it out there in case anyone else likes it, if not then I have wanted to teach myself Blender for a while and it might make a nice project.

You maybe right I've included everything that I thought was pertinent for the files here you 'have a fair amount of sfc2 models to go through

Here's the drop box like  word of warning please copy the files to your hard drive  moving them will delete them from the folder. Thus not allowing others
to enjoy them

Glad that I could be of service
