This Matt Jeffries design was never built because of budgetary reasons

gods I love that design. Would love to see it in game, or maybe a TMP variant...

Indeed. It's beautiful.

I can't believe they couldn't afford TOS designs, let's be realistic, not very complex and pretty plain, don't get me wrong they are beautiful I love the era but to say it couldn't be built is hardly an excuse. Those ships are smooth with hardly anything coming out the hull plating, just paint. Lol

Anyways hopes someone builds this. It's remarkable. And a TMP version would be wonderful.

Adam
At that time that design would have cost alot of $ due to the shape. Thats why they went with with the plywood and pvc works of what is canon now! + other crap.

3d world its already made in several forms gameing included. This model is High poly not worthy in sfc 1/2/op
Tmp what new engine or warps?  Tmp  just warps or total remake ?

Add the nose cone and bring in the warps, It is the a Tos Defiant. Moders  and trek tech have failed on this issue to prove the truth! Show me wrong ?

Ahh,

I made one of these last year, typical of me I never finished it, I'll see if I can dig it out.

I think SRS did a nice job bringing the concept to look like a TOS shuttle  both inside and out  :)

Thanks Bernard and thanks for the links, I think when this is ready for .mod conversion I will simplify the top to match that model for poly reasons. Both will be released though.  ;)

This looks more a Captians yacht.
