Now if they would only unbundle it from the OS so it is just another application and can be uninstalled by those who don't use it.

That's like expecting Apple to not include Safari in their OS. I doubt IE takes up that much space. Just don't use it, as it appears most people are doing.

The problem is they integrated it into the OS.  So if its security is broken the hacker is into the OS itself not just into the user account.
