Missing In Action
« on: March 12, 2003, 07:05:56 pm »
Contrary to rumours, I've not died but decided to get married this Easter. This has unfortunately led to most of my spare time going into wedding planning and 'last minute beer drinking before the guillotine drops down upon such activities'.

The good news is that I should have my cable modem soon established in the new marital home plus all the source code for all the lovely missions that I have written for SFC2 and SFC3.

Congrats Clint.  Good to see you are alive.

I'll save the smart @$$ comments for others on this....

First of all, congratulations.

Now then, for a modest fee, I'll be happy to marry you in the bomb shelter/chapel/casino. Pay no attention to Die Hard(my altar boy) trying to cop a feel on your blushing bride, or Tracey drinking the communion wine. Heck, for such a special occassion, J'inn might extend you a touch of credit in the casino(at 87% interest).

<remembers planning the Wedding>

Shudder.

Word of warning...

DON'T TRY TO PLEASE EVERYONE!!!

It is physically impossible. Someone will always complain. The best you can hope for is to minimize the "disatisfaction". The most important thing to remember is...

It's YOUR day (as in YOU and your BRIDE).

Don't let anyone spoil it.  Once you hand things off to the best man, ENJOY! All that money is being spent on you, don't dissapoint by NOT enjoying.

You are the reason they gather for that day.

What is the longest sentance ever spoken by a man?

I will.

Thankyou, but please remember that I'm a software developer by profession so therefore I'm trained to please no-one but myself

P.S. That suit in the picture looks remarkably like the one I'm going to wear at my wedding. Mind u, I've got more hair than then (1 day visit to a Klingon engineering section did that to me).

Congrats

I deny that it is not worth it. For some advice on married life, I suggest you read the tech support question of upgrade from girlfriend X.0 to wife 1.0.

Ha!  Any bride and future mother in law will tell you that it is their day.  The groom should be glad he isn't part of the kitchen help.
