I don't know what made me look up this site again.  I am surprised I even remembered my log in.  I just had to re-read some of the old posts.  So many names on here I remember.  There has never been another game I enjoyed playing as much as I enjoyed SFC1/2.  Mpig, starlance, then on to gamespy, there has just never been a game like SFC.  It's amazing to see people still hanging out here occasionally.   How many game still have a following after what.. 20 years?  Old age is setting in and I can barely remember what happened last week, but I still remember some of my SFC battles like they were yesterday.  I still remember many of the fleets from Star Lance.  The hated ICoP, the feared Klingons of the KHH, while I flew a Gorn ship for a small Romulan Fleet by the name of TRL (Tenth Romulan Legion).

I see that a SFC community edition has been released, but from the scattered posts it seems like it is full of bugs?  Is it worth getting?  It doesn't seem like it has stirred life back into the community.  And what is this forum for SFC 4?

Maybe I won't be such a stranger..  gotta find out about SFCCE and SFC4 after all...
