Sorry, yes, lol. 600MB.

When you make the purchase, you receive an email with a game key and a link to download.

I was hoping Dynaverse had SFC: OP as a download as well. It seems they have the physical discs which I still have. The physical discs will run on Win8 but if I patch it with the official Taldren update, it crashes harder than that that which crashes hard.

That said, EAW is cool and I am thankful for the hard work in getting this great piece of software to run on modern machines. I DO miss the great OP mods however. But, being able to play SFC2 EAW is a true blast. While the Star Trek nods for Sins of a Solar Empire ARE cool, none of them capture the feeling of Star Trek and Starfleet Battles the way the Starfleet Command series does.

Who knows, maybe the next project will be Orion Pirates? :)

Well you can try to get a old machine that run win 7 and under :) Or wait (hope) for sfc4.

Now mods are hard to find tough. Beside WZ site, all other place seem to have drop scf's mods  :(

I do have a Win7 machine that I don't use and I guess I will have to dust it off to play OP. It was a sad day when Interplay left us. Activision dumbed down SFC3 and Bethesda's attempt with Legacy was a disaster until Chris Jones came along and made it a decent game with the Ultimate Universe mod.

I don't know who has the Star Trek license for games now but, unless the next Star Trek movie is a huge hit - and I mean on the scale of The Lord of the Rings - I am not holding my breath for a SFC4. Besides Don, we are grizzled vets of Starfleet Battles and Starfleet Command. These whippersnappers want moaaarrr lens flares.  :(

Best,
Vlad

There are no new mods made, its kinda sad, but place where you could get it are almost all gone.

I have 4 cd's with scf mods that where giving to be by someone here a few years ago. All that I have I lost them because my sister did not put one of the com in storage and she lost both, including all the cd's with my back up.

Beside the crapy cloud stuff I don't know place that can be use for storage (archive) for all the mods and app for sfc.

If that web site close, I don't know any active forum where I could go ask if I lose my stuff again.  :buck2:

Well if Dynaverse would be willing to host them I THINK I still have all the mods and missions I downloaded from the old Taldren site. I downloaded virtually everything there was for SFC1, 2, OP and 3. I'll look for the CDs and if I still have them, I'll scout around for a place to host them as a thank you to Dynaverse for creating the community edition of EAW.

That would be great ! If something happen, I want to have a link to get back what I lost.

I think I have all of Atra's stuff and I was looking for some early mod from WZ that are not on his web site.

The original Galactica, all the vipers from the original to the one from the bad remake.
