If you are on a PC running Windows and want to install the release preview on another partition, another PC, or a virtual machine, we recommend you download Windows 8 Release Preview Setup and use the built-in tools for converting an ISO image into installation media, such as a DVD or USB bootable flash drive. You can find additional information, including a list of supported upgrades, in the FAQ.

Note before you download: Windows 8 Release Preview is prerelease software that may be substantially modified before it’s commercially released. Microsoft makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the information provided here. Some product features and functionality may require additional hardware or software.


2.5 GB for the 32 bit and 3.3 GB for the 64 bit.

Ya know, I just don't care at all for Win 8, after everything I have read. Win 7 took a long time to grow on me, and prior to that, it was Win XP. Never did like ME or Vista.

Unless they come bundled with a touch screen monitor, I'm gonna sit this one out. Thanks though for the heads up.

I am running right now. I can tell you it will run SFC. But I don't like the new interface at all.
