SFC: OP Question about allies and territories
« on: October 09, 2011, 03:05:41 pm »
Hi,
I think I may have seen this answer somewhere, but have not been able to locate it.
In the campaign mode it seems odd that allies are taking territories from their allies (Example:Federation,Gorn,Mirak). I have noted this problem is particularly bad with the Federation taking territories from their allies.

Is there a way to stop this?

Ya, Adam is right.  The game isn't exactly like SFB, the political system is kinda loose.  Besides, wouldn't you get tired of fighting or surveying your typical enemys all the time?  Even in SFB, almost all the races had at least a few skirmishes even with there closest allies from time to time.  The only case where I don't remember this happening in SFB (keep in mind I don't have all the SFB material) was the Feds and Hydrans.

Yea, i,m sure the only place there were no skirmishes were between Hydran and Feds because of the Distance involved and the little matter of all of Klingon space lol, plus i doubt whether feds and gorn would skirmish much (perhaps practice on each other-lol) as their relationship would be more trustworthy than the rest i think
