Dynaverse not very Dynamic?
« on: March 16, 2012, 03:11:12 pm »
I've been playing around with SFC:OP Dynaverse in Single Player, and I've noticed something, the AI never seems to invade or reclaim territory. In fact, if you leave it untouched all the hexes seem to either slowly become contested or controlled by pirates-as if the whole universe is descending into chaos.  Is this normal? If not, is there a way to make the AI ships more active?

There needs to be a web based campaign interface that enables you to change the server settings for all the customization features that are moddable. Currently, there is an ED tutorial somewhere on the campaign and server settings. I;d prefer a gui based system that spells it out for u.

Ok, well..

Startrek Online...  Ok, after 2 1/2 years of playing it...  IT SUCKS.. ITS SUCK BADS..  IT DOES NOT SUCK IN A HAPPY FUN SLOPPY WET WAY!  (cover your eyes kids.. adult talk happening)

I am sick to death of that game.   It is the saddest damd excuse for a trek game I have witnessed ever.  The Executive producer of the game doesn't understand MMO's much less Star Trek.   I was all hot and heavy "its the best trek ever" at one point untill the lies and deceptions started piling up to the point I don't even want to log in any more aven to go run a fleet I lead which doen't even exist to go shoot things and run missions.  The all KDF "Solid Gold Pressed Latinum Dancers"  which is just for fun and made up exclusivly of sexy female toons.

So, hey, seeing we have our boys here sitting on THE very best trek space combat game ever.  Where is this game at in the modern era?   It's pretty much an excersize it pain getting it to run in Win7 with either crashing simply refusing to run.

So what are the current goals with Dynaverse?   Can the combat and graphics be lifted out of the game and put into a purely net based app and dispensing with single player entirely other then as a tutorial?
