I've always considered that the SCNN (LN-52) early Linear Warp Engines looked more interesting than the later LN-64 and Avaline Linear Warp Engine that closely followed them.

The Monoceros is listed as a scout class in the Franz Joseph book.

Very nice.... Will there be an SFC 1 version??

Other SCNN equiped vessels include the Quillen Class (FR-1900 - 1919) and Ajax Class (FE-1920 - 1939). The Quillen is basically the Surya with SCNN LN-52 Warp Engines. The Ajax Class is more closely related to the Coventry Class (FE-1230) and shares the same truncated D-shaped saucer.

Both Classes were gradually rebuilt and added to the Knox Class (FR-1940) frigate inventory sometime after 2275.

So far I've modelled a Quillen by re-engining a Surya plus altering the name and registery on the textures. The Ajax is still on the "must do sometime" list as it has awkward pylons to contend with.

The Klingons have many ways to fry a cat. I prefer to use an L7 Fast Battlecruiser!!

Hi Alec  I'm for giving the community as much choice as they want   ;D

Okay then.. I'll do both, but that raises the question as to what function both ships would serve.   What would the designation for the Siva be with that dual torpedo launcher?  Something like an FDD++?  FDDX?  Sorry, am not a SFB player so am guessing at what it would be.  With the single launcher, I'm thinking FDD+ or so?

Also, for your split deflector, I have an idea of what I'm going to do with it.. I suspect I'll take my cues from the Phase 2 designs I've seen and go with a non-illuminated grill backlit/imposed on a small lit back support structure.  Light should be a brown/gold colour.  :)

I'm kind of looking at a design Lineage Not really thinking about where it would fit in though FDD+ or ++  would work
the Grill idea is great I'm looking forward to seeing that.   I'm trying to decide how to handle shuttle bay or bays.
thinking easiest would be  top hatch on port and starboard side

Hello Terradyhne Atra did release a single engine Monoceros based on  what looks to be the AMT Model Saucer design.

The bay is on the bottom near the neck according to the pics above

Updated textures on the Siva.  Still need to add docking bays under her, plus do the nacelle registries.

Btw, enjoying the fact that Terra and I are both doing these.  Viva La Choice!  ;)

but yours will have more downloads, as it is higher poly and uses better textures.  ::)

I think people will be downloading for different needs Terradyhne.. and both will be downloaded.  :)

I can see your ship being used in poly heavy fleet battles where my kitbash will cause stutter and problems.  Also, not everyone wants or needs high poly and admires lower poly ships.  I'm not doing my kitbash on a poly budget, where for A2 you have to.

So don't sell yourself or the model short.. I think it looks gorgeous for where it is in the poly limit.  And textures can always be touched up and still keep the parameters of what you have.  All one needs to do is download G@W of Nanner's to see what was done to conserve texture quality and size.  :D
