200 centimeters? That's nothing, a mere 6.5 feet. drb and his daughters would hardly be slowed by 20 feet! Great shot of Elizabeth catching snowflakes there.

They said this would be the coldest winter in almost fifteen years (any Rod Stewart Fans out there?). Coldest, not quite but the snowfall this year was reasonably significant. I seem to recall much colder winters in years past. The snowbanks did not reach the telephone wires here this year as they have in years past.

I always got a kick out of Toronto calling in the army to clear snow back in what was it 2001? Ha! bunch of wusses!

This was the highest I saw the roadside snowbanks this year, only about a third of the way up the telephone poles...

Hoi Bonk,

Thanks for the post.

What fun it was. The photographer told me after he took the photo that he was going to use my other daughter, Emily, 19 mos (she was in her stroller just below the frame) as she was being cute enjoying our little adventure.

What is not seen on the web page version of the front page, is the headline on the print version "Marchers call for peace, not war" just to the right of Elizabeth catching snowflakes on her tongue.

I cannot help but think of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. hehe

Hoi Folks,

I was going back through my email inbox and found the photos, the links Bonk posted no longer work and well I just thought I had to share how adorable the girls are, poor Emily, in the pram, I had adjusted her hood not 5 min. prior so see could see. Yes, Elizabeth is trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue.

Here we are on the ferry going back to Dartmouth, July of last summer. The group photo was on a really fun day we did a really big Easter Egg hunt for all the kids in the neighbourhood, at the Dartmouth Commons, it was not easy to get all of them to stand still for the half a second we needed to take the group photo. It was such a fun day to see all those kids running in all directions so excited with each egg discovered.
I have more recent photos, just not on my hard drive yet. Actually, I must get copies from Dad of when I was giving rides on my kayak, now that was a blast.
Speaking of paddling, Bonk! we need a float mission, pronto! We should also get a hold of Magma, his little boy should be crushing bananas on his forehead by now. hehe ( yes, folks that is an inside joke, and, no it will not be explained)

Inside joke, but since I have had my kids grow up, I would guess that means he is getting about two and a half to three feet tall now?

Nice to see some newer pics, I think I remember you mentioning that Easter egg hunt. Wonderful personalities, little rays of sunshine those girls are.
