Tiny-Weeny Shuttle
« on: August 20, 2011, 03:08:19 am »
Back in the 90's I felt a need to make a scale shuttle to go with certain Micromachine star ships. I found it recently and was surprised how good it looked for how small it was.

Thanks guys. I had a also made a Defiant to go with the scale of the Micromachine Galaxy Class that was much smaller than that shuttle, but obviously, something that small (about 0.5 cm) made of cardboard is easy to lose over 15 years, I was surprised I found this one.

All that remains are ashes caused by neglect and self loathing

Definitely impressed. You and Atolm make me jealous of your sculpting capabilities - I've never had it.

Nice work ! Did you use a needle pin or tooth pic to paint it?
Time for life!

No, this was a goofing-off-behind-the-teachers-back project, so I used white-out and all three flavors of ball-point pen (black for windows, red for stripe, blue for nacelle grill). I think the body of the shuttle is mostly one of those erasers you can put on the back of a pencil worn down to just the right shape, masking tape wrapped then squeezed just right at the back of the shuttle, and then a bit of cardboard cut from the back of a notebook and bent up on each side for the nacelles.
