Molly vs. Melanie in this battle today. Both well known in the 80's , it is hard to believe , they took on such rolls early in their careers.

Cherry 2000  (1987)   http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092746/

vs.

Spacehunter : Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (1983)  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086346/

Enjoy,

Stephen

Keep in mind, Molly Ringwald really didn't have much of a career to begin with.  She starred in 80s teen movies, and her career kind of imploded when she got too old to play those roles convincingly.

Edit: While I have never seen either film, based on the summaries on wikipedia, Cherry 2000 sounds worse, and I would go so far as to say that the writers were sick individuals.

Oh yes it can be.  I've tried to scrub the entire experience of Seeing Cherry2000 from my mind...at least Spacehunter I still may watch and don't mind having memories of it.

I have to admit, Spacehunter is and was a guilty pleasure. Also at around that time, there was a love hate relationship with many actresses.

Molly, Kristi McNichol, Samantha Fox, etc. etc. caused me to spend more of my clothing allowance on socks then I normally should have.
