OS crash problems

recently I had to reinstall my os and ran into a major problem. The OS is refusing to acknowledge  the product code. microcrack is giving me the it's pirated line which is crap >:( What can I do besides bying a new copy of windows?

Call the 800 number listed for your country in the activation window and tell MS that its legit.

Of the many times it happened to me (once after a Windows Update), just telling them it was legit resolved the issue, and they will issue you a reactivation key code.

Be prepared to say "Ok if you won't validate it when it is legal I'll just install Linux on this computer too".  That worked for my brother in law when they were trying to get him to pay for a new copy.  :)  They fell all over themselves trying to be helpful after that.  (He was rather more forceful and vulgar actually)
