china's Chang'e-2 orbiter has left the moon orbit and is heading for the L2 point. the orbiter has performed all of it's intended tasks and will now do some exploration added onto the mission because of the extra fuel it has. L2, langrange point 2 is about 1.4-1.5million KM away from the moon. the orbiter has up to 5 additional tasks to perform before end of life to be completely successful. it has already outlasted it's projected lifespan. read about it here:
