When passengers complained, police said she refused to hang up and got “aggressive,” the station reported. That prompted officers to stop the train and arrest her.

Beard was charged with disorderly conduct. The train, the Seattle-to-Los Angeles Coast Starlight, continued to Portland without her.

I hate cellphones be cause I was almost talken out by a person on a cellphone today,she was talking away,never even saw me..

I find texting pedestrians to be the worst. the other day I almost collected one. He was using an mp3 player at what I have to guess was maximum volume while texting when he stepped out from between two parked cars. He never noticed that 4300 pounds of SUV was bearing down on him with the ABS kicking in while the horns blaring!

I am not big on them either as they are slowing replacing phonebooths.I really don't see the point in letting teenager have one they could be using for drug deals.

Cell phones are a lot like religion. Most of the time, they are great things. But give an asshole a phone or a god, and they ruin your day.

Way I see it, cellphones are neat technology when they work, but Canadian cell network providers are pure evil black hearted spawn of hell. I consider Canadian cell networks criminal organisations and I will never support them.

Analog radio is far more reliable.

Yeah Bonk but you can't walk down the street with out seeing one and I say reliable pay phone.I would think about it if we had transporter technology.

I would have to agree that people on the phone, either texting or calling on pedestrians has got to be the worst. That would be okay if there is a designated stop light for you to know when to move, but if you are crossing a free street with your phone on you, you seriously have some issues.

Can you not put that away for a second and focus on what would really matter. Goodness me.

I hate cell phones cause if you have no book they are a bitch to figure out. And my boss texts and drives which pisses me off but atleast we drive a big ass truck so any thing that is the end result mostly wont be my death.

I hate cell phones in general ! Only good use in my eyes 911! Most of the time they dont work so whats the point.

If it weren't for Cell phones... wow... I'd have ripped a couple of pay phones off their brackets by now. Cell Phones were supposed to be business phones, but instead they've turned into everyone's every day phone. It's not a bad thing, when you have something delivered to your house, and you aren't there... if I had to go and find a pay phone to ask you where the hell you are, I would have shot someone by now.

35 years later when our kids kids has brain cancer due to i bet forced cell use by then someone will learn. Coal dust was ok for how many years oh yea still now its ok to breath it and whats the effect? Same results but diffrent issue. It will end up in deaths and createing stupid ppl before anyone learns the real truth i bet. And the ritch will go on to create the next issue to talk about.

on the other end of the spectrum, cell phone radiation may just boost our children's immune systems to the point where they can handle an interplanetary trip without a restrictive amount of radiation shielding. Radiation is not always bad, sometimes its a trigger in the next step in the evolutionary process.

Saddly you have to use them more and more these days,the payphone is MIA these days,outside of the hosptial areas,there are no payphones anymore in the city..
