It has finally come to ahead.......
I have been banned for life from DIFJosh's Cugs TS3 server by Administrator Whippet for promoting Firesouls OP-4.1 Mod.
I did not at that time know or understand why, but now the word is slipping thru the cracks that it has something to do with old wounds....wounds that have apparently split this "community in half"....wounds that are older then I care about and older then anyone wants to talk about... and that is fine.... (I never knew there was bad blood with anybody when I joined Dynaverse, and no-one offered to say as such)
a little while ago..like 2 months or so...I posted here in dynaverse "that some day when I get old and gray I would like to sit around drinking a beer and here about this big falling out between Frey and Josh"....I'm a sucker for old tales of woe..
Well I guess some people thought I was trying to stir up manure (look it up..under horse)..and I very quickly got barked at from a named person...so I went back and removed my post, and tried to make amends....in less then 24hours I lost all my privileges, blocked from uploading / downloading files and was locked out of privet rooms because passwords were changed...
No reason was given and no one would talk to me, still I kept playing on GameRanger and I started to look around for other VoiP providers, I even found other servers on TS3 I could use and host on....all because of the way I was being treated at Cugs...
Since Firesoul released 4.1 beta in Dec, um... yes...ok... I have been promoting it... I have an opinion like everyone else, so I posted "great job, keep up the good work, thank you!! etc.etc." I truly believe that it needs play testing so Firesoul can polish it up and make it shine.
Then I was told that I am the "sole person responsible for dividing the Cugs / Gameranger community in half!" wow..now I'm in the same boat as Frey was so long long ago....
Since then I have had 2 updates to 4.1 and then Firesoul posted the final release pending any major fix's....Wooohooo!!
I told a few people left at GR that would talk to me, by now I'm not using Cugs anymore mostly Google talk and TS2..
So now like a week ago I read a post basically saying that people will play 4.1 only if Firesoul makes a program or something to switch the BAK files so people can play both...I express my god given right to Firesoul stating that he shouldn't, why and the outcome in my opinion..
I told him how people are riding his coattails and are basically raping his work!... I was told "meh don't worry 'bout it"
Now tonight, I was playing a game on GR....I was told to jump on Cugs which I did....I played 2 games had some fun...then Void-war jumped on, asked what version we were playing, I told him it was 4.0 but I had 4.1 installed and it was not a problem...he promptly left the channel and hopped on with this Whippet guy in another room and in less than 20 seconds I was kicked off and banned!
I have found out since then, that the reason for some of my treatment is due to Firetroll being Josh's goldenrod and Firesoul being Frey's goldenrod..it seems "the community is split between souls 4.0 and trolls 6.0" ya'know I don't care...I never knew any of this till tonight...
So now the pro-trolls think I have been manipulated by pro-souls and that I was planted in Cugs on some kind of subversion tactic or something to promote 4.1.......I have been told by the pro-trolls that I am not aloud to give out the link to 4.1 and as much that I have to play 6.0...now I don't have a problem with 6.1, 6.0, 4.1, 4.0 none what so ever!!! my problem comes from people that have created programs that can pick the best ship at any BPV in any race...somehow....why is there 8,000+ freeking ships if your only going to fight with 3 or 4...hello...IT'S STUPID!!!
Or my favorite of all time...Just and I mean just installed 6.1, second game took a borg sphere (all these new races ya'know) here I am looking at what the new weapons are, what new shields it has...just the whole WOW factor going on right...in less then 45sec someone (....) runs right up to me and BOOM! I pop like a cork coming out of a champagne bottle, I never got a shot off...the worst part of that was (....) was laughing his ass off telling me how I sucked, how the borg sucked, now his was the greatest race, how he had the most perfect ship for the BPV. how he was just the greatest player ever!!!
So I told him "I hope you enjoyed killing someone that has never flown that race, the ship, that BPV...I hope you get your jollys knowing a mod so....thoroughly inside and out that no-one has/stands a chance, and I hope you understand that I will never play you ever again..your just mean and your just rude, your an ass"
I can not get a fair game if other people take the best of the best of the best! period....Dizzy said it best "throw out the old, start new and fresh"....but they can't because of these programs, they wont work then, and other stuff they got going on to cheat..
So now because I have aired what I can only assume has been beneath the waters surface all this time, I have become the bad guy..
Oh well.....I have always let my mouth do the talking and my body do the walking...put up or shut up..
I have been branded with a new name "Baby Shadowfiresoul" sorry Firesoul I never wanted it..
To tell you the truth I'm not a Pro-Troll or a Pro-Soul....I started with 4.0 because every single-one of you people told me I HAD to have it to play...anywhere!
4.1 is just the next logical evolution.......not 6.0......not 6.1.........those are just a rehash of 4.0 changing out the pirates for new races....races that are not SFB or SFC...
That was like 4 hours ago.....and I am still steaming about this, and this is the by-product of that steam.....
I have apologized to Firesoul for hijacking his OP thread, I have deleted my entries there...I have started this thread in the hopes that other people will come forward to express there feelings and talk about their experiences/good/bad/mistreatment at the hands of these ego megalomaniacs that have done nothing for the past 15 years except sit in front of their monitors and play this game to death to the point it's not fun anymore. and have modded it so much it's turned into a piece of crap...
No this is not a (well play more and get better) situation "you can't get better if your always losing to cheaters" nor is it a (stop crying and get over it) case...( well if it's crying then no wonder so many people left! ) This is about bullying and mistreating people because you think your better then the rest of the world....your only better because you cheat and you have spent so much time figuring out how to cheat...whereas some people don't, won't, could never figure out how to cheat..
Just so you don't think I've lost it....I am going to play 4.1. Firesoul built 4.0 and that was the first one I had, so the next one is 4.1. it is new, it is fresh, it's SFB/SFC..it has not been modded to death, and you can't cheat....unless you redo all your stuff and I'm positive you will because that's what cheaters do! I'm not Pro-anyone but me! get off that bus..call me what you will "I DON'T CARE" (stick and stones crap) ban me..un-ban me...."I DON'T CARE"...it's your server.. you own it.. you can burn it to the ground "I DON'T CARE" your actions and the actions of you admin staff, as inappropriate as they were, is what has caused this post, you can now with my blessing! add me to the list that is growing everyday of players that have quit cugs or this game altogether......it is your group (cugs) that has made this game completely not fun for me anymore...
