Was just toying with the idea of building a water wheel to power a simple generator to recharge batteries so as to show the boy a simlpe example of power generation he could actually see.
Got to thinking as long as water pressure is good in town would I end up creating electricity (albeit in the small amount for rechargeable batteries) at a cheaper rate then what the water actually costs per gallon?
Or if I could capture the sink and tub drainage into a tank, then use that to gravity feed through a small generator before going into the main drain?
Can't wait till the boys are old enough or interested enough to bounce ideas like that off.
