He is a Legendary modder of EaW,OP and now Legacy I think he might of touched on SFC3.He is the one that got Legacy to work on MP instead of Bethesda.He is well known like FireSoul is.

The real question is does Chris still have the modification document the forums made to modify this game with the one that contains all the data we extracted from the files

I bet not sfc is dead in most eyes due to lack of updates and sales of cds in stores . He might update whats already created but new work for SFC is ?? Fans that own the game are what support this game for the future with hope the fans wont quit and end the fun run. Those non fans anymore should give away or sell their cds to let the game continue for others

Doesn't mater if he is going to edit it or not just was curious if he still had that document I use to have it until a I got a new PC and forgot to move that file over to the new one. I just wanted the doc again for my own use to mod the game for me.

A long time ago in a forum far far away....

Modification wars!

A lot of effort was made when SFC 2 first came out to make a mod for it, this was started back at the old Taldren forum. In that forum along with the programmers, and people no longer around, we opened all the files that control the game that any one could edit. In those files were some cryptic things that through experimentation because less cryptic. The document was basically all the forum excerts put into one place so ppl could make mods to the game, this is one of those things Chris was involved and FireSoul and many others. It containsed all the knowledge we had to make changes, with Taldren gone the information in that Doc file is the only place where that info can be found, and depending on the version of that doc the server mod info and even some hexadexmial changes and how to unencrypt some files and re-encrypt them.

So basically everything we learned about the game for over 4 years was in this Doc file, it is a pretty nice tool to have

An SFC Big Book of Moding! Someone should upload that to FF and battleclinic for preservation
