Finally.

It's all coming together. The Dream Team is preparing to wow you all with some important information.

I'm going to let this out of the bag : I've just finished negotiating a deal which will keep the Empire out of our ha...

Oh wait, sorry.

*cough*

We're moving to .

You know what this means, True Believers... no more FTP bandwidth cap, no more caps period.

35 Mb / 35 Mb.

Look for the change on Dec 10th, the site will be down temporarily as we move to the new IP scope that day.

:D

I don't know whether to Weeeeeeeee! or Moo!  ;D  :moo:

*Mr Burns voice* Excellent... Excellent...

While the DGA is a NPO, Xenocorp is not. ;)  When do I get my shares?  (j/k, kinda...) ;)

Seriously though, this is awesome. As you mentioned we can remove/dramatically increase the FTP limits and remove the http to ftp redirect to the downloads folder. (a good thing)

This will make breathing room for XC hosted sites (we can up the bandwitdth on those servers).

We won't have to worry about too many users on TS while a Dynaverse server, several webservers and FTP servers are running interfering with the server that they are all here to support: the Dynaverse servers. (while not needing huge bandwidth, latency is pretty important)

I'm amazed that we have gotten away with 1-1.5 up for so long. Says a lot about our networking knowledge, skills and experience. And it is funny, I always rave about the superiority of coaxial cable and it is the case here, but your locale has shown serious issues with physical security of the cable network. It will be some time (if ever) until people are stealing fibre signals and degrading the network with poor quality taps.

In short. Whoot!  (now where will we need to change the IPs?... I can only think of one or two places I'll have to do it... good.)
