Higher Resolutions
« on: November 08, 2010, 09:16:36 pm »
Does anyone know of a way to make SFC1, EAW, OP run in a higher resolution...

I was told this.
(To play SFC in high resolution, Right click your SFC icon, go to properties, then under the ''target'' line, it should read
''C:Program files Interplay starfleetcommand SFC.exe'' height=1200 width=1600

I have tried this and it does not work...any Ideas?

I beleive the settings in SFC OP work in SFC they use the same graphic engine
the program sets it for the game to run in that resolution so if it can't, then the problem would be with the lap top graphic card or its drivers.

Yea, that's what I was thinking... but it only adjust EAW and OP and then I only get...
1. 640x480
2. 800x600
3. 960x720
4. 1024x768
5. 1152x860
6. 1280x1024
7. 1600x1200

I used a SVGA cable to connect to my View sonic wide screen and I can get 1600x1200 thru my laptop..
my native res is 1280x800 when I try 1280x1024 the game won't run, when I try 1152x860 the game is all skewed and doesn't look right.

How hard is it to write a patch to fix this? I don't know anything about code so I really don't know..sorry

the game defualt is 800x600 so it will only work correctly if based on that for multiples which is why 1600 x 1200 looks right. wide screen is not supported the game is too old for that

overall most of the resolutions past the 800x600 are not going to look right on a widescreen monitor, but you can get close and overall after playing it enough in a certain resolution you can get used to it and overtime hardely notice the difference. I have to run it on my screen @ 1440x900 as 1152x860 in EzINI order for it to look somewhat decent
