Just for giggles I reloaded SFC Gold Edition after all this time, even downloaded all the new patch's
I am having problems playing the Federation scenario (The Surprise Reversed), even after reading the guide book.. the scenario never plays out even close to the guide.
1. Me vs 5 ships.....true
2. ships activate off of a mission timer 1 at a time.....False, min 3 ships @ a time, I have had all 5 ships activate at once.
3. ships 70% to 120% my BPV.....False, my CA = 128, Klingon's range from 94 to 165 BPV.
4. every time & I mean EVERY time, the ships are always the same,
4a. 2 K-F5L
4b. 2 K-D6D
4c. 1 K-D7W
Every time I start the mission I pause, I go to red-alert, set photons to prox, deep scan, set speed to 15. unpause...count to 60 and both D6's and the D7 activate and blow me to hell.
I have been stuck here for four days running different start-ups, speed, photon settings, all told about 30 games in all, and every time I get my arse handed to me...
Who actually finished this scenario and can help me....please no heckling and no dumb remarks like "go back to the academy for more pratice...Duhhhhh"
