with the decline of the shuttle missions, there were 1500 people laid off today ( in this economy no less). i am really sad to see this chapter in nasa history close. now is the time to start up a new mission, the mission to mars to get these people working and employ thousands more! let's go to the newly discovered exoplanet only 20LY away!!!!

my heart goes out to the laid off workers. the story was hard to read.
