It IS an interesting read - but I would go even futher and suggest any civilization over 20,000 years old would no longer really use biological bodies at all anymore - but rather some kind of nanotech bodies that could be reconfigured for different environments.

I don't think this would necessarily make them A.I. - because they may choose to retain some sort of limited emotional feedback system to retain their dynamic motivation and sense of overall purpose.

Of course they could have been destroyed by the A.I. they developed also - but - in either case - looking for chemical signatures or primitive communication would only likely reveal civilizations at around our level or lower than our level of technological sophistication.

Overall - I am very very dissapointed in SETI scientists - they are uneccessarily antagonistic to UFOlogists - rather than collaberative as most effective scientists should be - and they seem overly dependent and controlled by the U.S. Govt and it's millitary branches.
 
Heck we have as many as THREE former American astronauts - in good standing - who claim NASA is aware of ongoing Alien observation of our planet.

(not to mention even more cosmonauts who have spoken out)

Why is SETI not interviewing these highly esteemed space specialists? Why are they not reviewing radar tapes the MUFON has in their possession?

Clearly they are not interested in exhausting all possible avenues for detectring alien life - or reviewing all of the evidence.

This makes them unreliable imho and shows they are absolutely unaccountable to the public they claim to serve.

aliens DO exist. the fact that seti people will not work with the "fringe" scientists of ufology is ludicrous. there are too many sightings, too many abduction stories, too many other random ufo examples to ignore anymore. i agree with you whole-heartedly

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic - can I assume you are not?

 

If you are not - why do you believe aliens exist - do you mean aliens which have visited our solar system?

I do not find any of the abduction stories I have heard as being credible - and I have researched quite a few - to me they all seem to fit the sleep paralysis theory quite well.

I do find the RADAR videos obtained by MUFON to be quite compelling - especially when combinded with specific eyewitness testimonies from the ground at the time.

I am most interested in the Astronauts, Cosmonauts, and Professional Pilots who have gone on record regarding current alien observation - and it shocks me that there is no group - including MUFON - which really does any signifcant scientific follow up with these individuals and their testimony.

I even have personally criticized prominent UFOlogist Stanton T. Friedman for his lack of interest in following up any modern cases - including one of considerable note that I brought to his attention - and he just (quite unprofessionally imho) cut all communication with me instead of addressing this reasonable constructive criticism.

(yet he was willing to cut Lazar to pieces on his website - which was well presented and well thought out I believe)

In my opinion SETI should be working with ALL reasonably professional scientists persuing the evidence in all Extra Terrestrial visitation cases - if it really hopes to fufill its own mandate.

first off, i was being completely serious.

as far as bob lazar. i felt immediately upon discovering lazar's story and still feel, that he is nothing more than a gov't sponsored misinformation story put in place to pull heat off secret bases, area 51 being the most noteworthy. something about him and his story never felt right. it just didn't "gel" for me. it was way too convenient and just answered too many questions too easily. i feel that if he was legit, he would have been "silenced" by our gov't by the usual means (read into that whatever you want). of course, i could be totally wrong and he is just the gov'ts way of breaking the existence of aliens to us slowly.

i feel that about 99.9% of all alien abduction stories to be imagination of the people involved. lono i would suggest the book "DMT: the spirit molecule" by Dr. Rick Strassman. in his book he explains that through research that he believes that most alien abduction and near death experiences can be explained by enthogenic DMT (DMT, dimethyltryptamine is the chemical produced in our brain that produces dreams. it is high psychedelic and my personal favorite "sacrament")  people who experience these false abductions and near death experiences are people who produce more DMT than normal and in times of stress release it all at once leading to the experience. it is an excellent book and i have communicated with Dr. Strassman personally and he is a great person doing very needed work. there is a documentary based on the book and his study coming out very soon (by the end of the year i am told). read it and you will learn some really cool stuff about our brains and internal chemistry!

i like to sum aliens up to people with this story. if humans were to space travel and find an exoplanet and were able to get to it AND just happen to find intelligent life on it or at least sentient life on it, what do you think we would do? most people don't want to admit it, but we would take one of these creatures and study it. i believe that if alien abduction stories are true, i think that the cause is simply that the aliens have found us and because of the same higher intelligence arrogance they are doing the same thing. just something to think about.

my belief in aliens comes more from the reports of pilots, astronauts, and people who are not in the usual profile of "ufo nuts" that have many reports on sightings and such. i believe the fact that our government spent time and money to set up a procedure to deal with first encounters when it did was not an accident. it was planned due to information classified to the general public. my gut instinct as a scientist also tells me that aliens exist. there are so many planets out there that there has to be life somewhere else other than just here. time will tell i guess. i personally can not wait until we can actually meet aliens and learn more about ourselves and them at the same time.
