Damn you guys like OLD school games. How about older xwing or tie fighter? Any one still have those 3x5 disks all 5 to make it work?  :crazy2:

This was an amazing series of games (X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing vs Tie, though I never played the last beyond the demo). Except for SFC, Tie Fighter has got to be tied for a favorite game . . . I only wish they put you in an actual tie fighter for more of the game! It would've been cool to fly a single expendable Tie in a large squadron like they have in the movies.

I thought Tie Fighter was easier than X-Wing. In X-Wing, it always seemed like staying alive was easy, but protecting all your vulnerable capital ships, shuttles, etc. from Tie Bombers was IMPOSSIBLE.  ;)

Sounds strange with the tech we have these days but i do kinda miss the old packerdbell 486   :laugh: I made a booth out of plywood set it up like an old arcade car or fighter plane game with a joystick and all and kicked alot of rebel butt with Tie fighter oh the memories   ;D

I heard a rumor that they were going to re-do this game with a more modern graphics engine and improvements on the AI.

There was nothing I enjoyed more than flying an A-wing versus an Imperial Star Destroyer.  Just keep away from those damned Victory class ships, unless you got a bomber.

So... when?  I might have someone else interested, but he's in Korea so time could be a problem for him.

I have the game, and I have a logitech joystick.  I prefer X-wing Alliance, but I also have the Xwing vs. Tie Fighter...as well as the Xwing 95 CD.

I have this, I used to play a lot of the original series games... played X-Wing Alliance a lot a ways back too.

Yep, I also still have the game.

I remember that the maps had no game edges so it was possible to fly in any direction for ever.
