Topic: Change ship names in SFC1.

Is it possible? Now that the hydran fighters make some extra ships. Could I change their name? I mean they can't all be STH or STA...

No you can't or the game will crash in some Dyna camps we were able to do this.I am not sure how though.

Yes it can be done I forget the file names and the formate you had to type in as i use to do it all the time. The down side is yes to be on dyna your files had to match the servers master copy or in GSA yours had to match the other guys. It was easily done by making a copy you could use for your own personal single player game I always liked to name my fed battleship "broken big toe"

I am pretty sure that it is in the forums archived records, I know the old Taldren board had it.

oddly enough it was the shipnames file that you need to change to add your custom ships name
