Large tank with rubber tube like seal at bottom to seal the uneven ocean floor. 60 ft in dia atleast to contain the flow. Exaust tubes {7} should be same dia as the broken pipes below to insure proper flow and prevent leakage of the seal. At this point it can be pumped out if needed.

That will never work.

We need to pump tons of mud in there instead.

Was tryed  :-\ the pressures that they are dealing with is like trying to stop a volcano.  Cap a large area that will take some time to build up pressure the 7 relese vents should let the flow go up. The real issue is area if its to rugged and hilly this idea wont work. I cant see 60ft around the broken pipe to see if the area is flat enough for a proper seal. But then agian if the rubber is large enough say 20ft tall then its possable no matter what.  Drillers mud would work on a normal well but at 5000ft they cant get it down there fast enough to do any good. Concrete sets in 45 min on average same deal to much pressure vrs what they can pump at 5000 ft.

The bomb it idea is stupid with the pressures it will blow the rock away and the problem is even deeper.
