Well until i can get the colours to work right on photoshop.. it says 16bit.. but its more like using 256 colours...  :crazy2:  Think its the new fire gl and bad xp 64bit drivers..  >:(

I started to model this...   NX-01 Shuttle pod, its gonna be pretty accurate, and I intend to be low poly for the detail...

Competition coming soon.. I will want to know the total poly count of the shuttle pod, when the model is finished later tonight.. winner gets there name slaped on the hull in the texture set..  like the old galileo scibble for the release.  :)

And, I only started building this for fun in-between my hardware issues, and so far it has turned out to be more difficult than expected .. the nose and engine manifold, are a biatch  :angel: to get right, when doing it low poly but unified.

And although my fireGL may have issues with drivers and colours.. let me tell you it works allot better in Max than my lappy... man this is painfull now..

That's 2 very good guesses, you can have more than one obviously as she develops..  :)

Spent the day so far cleaning the back area and building those wings and small struts with thrusters, unified em, then cut down on polies. she is taking shape surely enough.

Some very interesting poly counts there lol.

how will they change to the final WIP of the mesh.. I think thats the most accurate game model of this shuttle yet seen, but I could be wrong.  8)

I am gonna make NORMAL MAPS for this, and spec maps.. and (i can see the empty beer cans being thrown) :knuppel2: then render bake them.. 

I know its not popular, :hoppin: but i have that down to fine art, so im gonna give it another go with normals as apposed to bumps... :coolsmiley: either way, its an interesting project. Then kreeargh can put it into SOASE for us to see if he does not mind..  and for the rest of you lot, I will release the ship, fully done, and give permissions fully for it to be altered so we are all happy  :huh:

Who knows, it may even end up in excalibur at some point so all that effort on the maps will not go to waist  :)

Ok, mapping on the shuttle is 100% finished.

Please feel free to download the shuttle and play with it...  please texture as you see fit, even if you have not done it before, i have included a UVW texture map that shows the locations of all the faces.

Mapping is mirrored...   so the registries will work lol  :laugh:

Lets see some, Mirror universe types or borg take overs etc too  8)

All i ask is that all releases of this model need to read:

NX-01 Shuttlepod model by MarkyD
UVW Mapping and templates by MarkyD

Thats it, apart from that have some fun guys  8)

  Fallen Warrior can make it better this is just to get him to replace with a better product  :angel:
I installed sfc3 on my vista craper to test this , I grabed some screen shots in sfc3 but i cant figure out where the game put them  >:( . Anyhow here is my  ::) Borg attempt ,sfc3 sfc3borg cuts but the rest of the texture crap is mine  :-\.  It looks alot better in sfc3.

Good job man.. the nose cone is hard to figure out on the mapping..

you have shown some model errors too, that i am gonna look in to  8)

but good job..

keep borgifying it  8)

But dont relese it unitl i have fixed em lol....   

still texture away, it wont affect the UVW maps so good JOB  8)

lol dude, no offence byt the nx pod so doesnt need borging. its the other shuttle (what you call the beast) that will need my attention :P that and I have a borg thread slowly been pieced together.... the laptop arrives in the morning, next weekend i have the misses over so yeah its gonna be hectic. so yeah I'm not sure why you want me to borg this up so much :P
All im saying is you can do better borging than this , with hope one day you can do your stuff on it ;)

Markyd i have no plans on releaseing any mod files unless requested to do so, sorry about the uvw map there my bad.  :-[  This is a test of my trying to figure it out skills im not sure what grade i should get but it feels like a d+  :laugh:   I dont think the model has errors its probly more my lack of smoothing skills at sfc export. The model looks good in sfc3 but the mod viewer looks like that on my vista craper pc anyway :)
