Many people playing anymore?
« on: May 23, 2010, 02:03:32 pm »
It's been years for me, but I recently blew the dust off Orion Pirates and reinstalled the game. I forgot how much fun it is. I still even have Pneumonic81's fantastic models (most of them untouched by amateur kitbashers) and added Pneumonic81's and Thu11's untouched Romulan models for the first time. I still say it's the best Star Trek game of all time. The only thing I wish this game would support is widescreen resolutions. But I didn't miss that back in the day, because I didn't have widescreen then. I see DieHard is still somewhat active.

There are still a few folks who pop in on occasion, but recently things have lulled a bit. People tend to be off on their own projects/games.

I play not as much as I want to, but my internet is flaky.

I still play as much as I can, and I think more wish they would but Windows Vista/7 really hurt OP for those who cannot dual boot into XP, which is still the best recommendation to playing OP at the moment ON DYNAVERSE.

Been heavy into STO for the past couple months, DDO heavy before that, still dabble there occasionally.
There are still a couple servers up on the Dyna for anyone to play on anytime, tho.
Havn't even visited GSA in ages, last time I was there only saw a literal handful and no rooms at all.
Sad, but True...

It's almost like a Starcraft following. The game is 10 years old, and we still play it. Talk about a game for the ages.

Been so long I almost forgot my pw, but I'm still loaded up and ready to fly- as soon as Diz gets off his arse and gives us another server.

This is by far the best tactical PvP game ever, but it's old, buggy, and the campaign doesn't work on modern OSs.  One last stab at a turn-based PvP only campaign died do to lack of interest.  I imagine people still play on GSA, right?

Most of us are on other games, a bunch of us on Playing D&D online on the Ghallanda server.   i'd love nothing more than to see a modern game with this rules set but I'm not holding my breath.

The crappy economy isn't really helping some of us get any game time in either...

And even for the unemployed I think a little FPS indulgence is usually easier to justify then some real, extended,  tactical warfare...

I think there will be a decent increase when things turn around...  we honor those who continue to carry the fire!

Still here and kick'n!  I play once in awhile but can't get on "The Forge" due to some firewall issue and my cable.  Not sure what, who or how to fix it.  Would love to see a bunch of us get on for a Dynaverse Reunion!

Been wishing i still had my disks more and more recently ....  need a modern 2010 version of SFC and we need it SOON
I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older. Then it dawned on me; they are cramming for their finals.

I wish  :smitten:. . . Unfortunately, I think the problem with Interplay now is that it can't have *anything* to do with Star Trek now, even if it is an update of an old game and not the release of a completely new one.
