Noice!

I would thicken up that saucer some, get that edge so it doesn't curve downward so hard.

This was just a fun project i didnt plan on really finishing it or puting much effort it to it.
It was a bet with my wife on how long i could do something. I dont expect it will ever see game stage , WZ battleship is way better i wouldnt even use this model.
My wife just wanted to see what i could do in 4hrs with my son bothering me.  :P

For 4 Hrs work that is pretty good this coming from a non modeler who does 2d drafting.  ;D One thing that bothered me about the
design of this ship,  (not your Model Kreeargh)  is the Location of the bridge. I  always figured that the bridge should  be in the center
of the saucer as most fed designs have it but then I'm a bit of a traditionalist at heart  ;D

Infact i bet it was around 3 1/2 hrs due to my son keep going to the bathroom for no reason other than that i think i have a clone on my hands , hope he is a better texture artist than i am. My wife claims 41/2 hrs cause thats how long it took for me to wake her up but i know thats bull so i = it out to keep the peace   8)
I knew i was in trouble when i let her pic the ship and me the poly cap  i should have reversed that i would have picked 100 poly and won any bet = im out of poly under time i win !

I thought the same and wanted to fix it but its to late to for that i think {without a remake of parts} :-\ the way i made the saucer connects the rear hull and if i move the verts forward to make a standard bridge it would screw up the poly. :(

I know that one.. my wife sees this as a non-profitable effort, so therefore no worth pursuing.  It don't make money, so therefore, shouldn't exist.

I look at it as art, and fun.. so therefore I sneak in time when I can.. and lately, that's not a lot of time.  :p

Got a lot still waiting for me to do.. and thanks to Kreeargh, one to get back into it with.  :D

Hey, come to think of it.. I can sneak in half an hour or so right now.. hmmmmmmm... ;)

Neither do (most) women and SFC, unfortunately!

A female friend of mine actually sat and watched me model out one of my ships (much to my annoyance, i never liked having anyone looking over my shoulder). She watched from start to finish and was completely fascinated. At the end she said "how the hell did you do that?"

Bing! thats exactly what my wife says. I think my 3 year old son understands and is already bored with it but my wife says every time she watches me model she is baffled what i do and how.  My son keeps pointing out errors that are true which is real strange but i cant complain  ;D  My wife keeps asking for me to model home type projects we got goin like the green house ect ect. I FEEL used lol.

You let her get away?  Damn.  Now my wife supports my little work on programming, not that she sees it as something I can make money at, or that she even understands it (she will listen to me ranble on about a problem, nod, make a few uh-huh's at the right time).  But she sees it does make me happy so sometimes has told me to go downstairs and play. :)
The smell of printer ink in the morning,
Tis the smell of programming.

Put on some hockey pads and get some roses and go for it Jedi. That in my experiance is the 2 things universally loved by all women, geeks or not, is roses and dimonds.

Nope i dont care any more, the beauty of retirement from game moding. I dont care about glory or perfect any more that is what payed ppl do. Ive tryed to learn 8 years in fact failed sick of trying now retired and make what i wish how i wish and dont care results or comments just release anyway  :crazy2: I have a desire to release the gmax files so other gmax users can learn from the vert/poly placement if they look close enough they will learn  ;D. Most game work is all about vert placement rest is bull  :P All my future models except requested work will include the saves of gmax files so users can learn from my error theme modeling.  :)
