Hmmmmm Mt Dew..... Oh How I miss it, When I was in the states last year, I got majorly addicted to the stuff....... *Looks at Fury expectantly*
Short Answer: Cylinder MappingLong Answer:1) Grab all the edge polies and do a cylinder mapping2) Make sure you rotate the gizmo so that the seam is in a logical place (i do it so that its in the rear, by the impulse engine)3) Scale the UVs vertically so that the UVs are the proper proportion to themselves, instead of being really really tall.4) Scale the UVs by-corner so that the entire saucer rim UVs are three times as wide as the saucer top UVs (this is to make sure the UVs are in proper proportion with each other, too)5) Break the saucer rim UVs into quarters and fit them into the single UVW space (you can use the vertex snap to align them perflectly)Have you got that? or should I do a video tutorial?
