Stoney, that's why I started learning to luthier..it takes time and tools, but I've refretted and reset the necks on some nice guitars..repaired the necks on two of mine that had guitar stand accidents (never ues a two holder stand..too unstable)..
I learned how to make a new bridge and cut saddles and nuts..next project will be replacing the binding on a six string..starting cheap, so if I screw it up, oh well
I just got a Phoenix electro/acoustic where the bridge has lifted off..the sound board is crap, so, I'm shopping around for an affordable piece of spruce to replace it, and hopefully get it all together (bracing may take a bit, and time is always a premium, between work, wife, and grandkids)..I'll shoot some before and after shots, and we'll see how it works.
I'm really looking forward to the musicians conference in May back in Buffalo..hoping to meet up with some old friends and make some new ones...and peruse the manufacturer's exhibits
