something i can't do without help
« on: March 26, 2010, 08:30:46 am »
So, i went to change the gsb(gorn starbase) model from OP using the iluminations from XSS(orion starbase) model.
I have succeded, but there was a small problem with it's UI, which i don't know how to modify, and in Shipedit it looked like that. anybody can recommend me an UI editing program. Or can someone help me do it?
If yes, and if you would even show me how, i'd be etarnally gratefull.

Well, if it works anything like SFC3 you need to check out the files that end with TI.bmp in the model folder of your unit. For example: assets/models/Gornbase and then look at GornbaseTI.bmp.

BTW: the size of the TI picture is very important: one pixel off and the picture won't show up in-game.

Question, the UI you are trying to change is the image that shows up when you select the ship while playing the game?  Can't be changed as of yet (but working on it).  The only UI ship images available are the ones that show up in the shipedit program right now.
