other than your serious case of plumbers crack  j/k It looks cool. The art itself looks like a full sized ship could be made out of it rather than a fighter and your wip sorta reminds me of a second generation of the bradburry class or something. I dunno..if it's going to stay a fighter those saucer humps will be a bit wierd.

Here is a side view of the Federation Jackrabbit class  { i totaly agree with that look DeathKricket } with the 2ndary the total mesh is 1338 poly so far. My task here is to create a profile mesh for this design for a highpoly version that member from SFM is going to work over and make beautifull . But i have to get the basic shape down  :-[ or he will have nothing to work with, and his renders wont fit the game model if dont get it right. The saucer is the issue so far the rest can be worked to fit . I do agree on the butt i did save a version so i would have a start on my next charicter model  I tryed to make a normal disc and cut the profile out but it looked worse than this does and had many errors. The smoothing makes it look worse without textures.  Fallen Warrior thanks i hope the final results will please.

If you´re doing her in GMAX or 3dsmax, instead to cut the saucer you must use the FFD modifier. ;)
Stil in max, there are ways to fix a boolean like yours, but it isn´t that easy. :)

This saucer isnt a boolean cut that was my last version {not shown} this one is a vert edit of a typical cylnder then meshsmoothed in classic mode 1 time to get a little smoothness. Damn thing ended up looking like a butt , it also did me some good though i have a good butt for a start of my next charicter model LOL. It has been since fixed i used m6sfced to edit the verts more with the drawing as a map but i am now seeing errors in mod viewer. When i turn the model in mod viewer some polys dissapear then reapear? If anyone wants this i will post the .mod as it will be some time before i will get any renders for textures on this.

Here you go , Im jumping around like a Jackrabbit i need to get back to the tasks on hand BSG. Have fun with it  :).
http://sfc.battleclinic.com/docks/view.php?id=4748  I threw a map on the .mod to see what it looked like in the model viewer and was shocked the darn thing fit without any edits at all  . The zip has last version of my gmax files before i maped the model i tend to save a model 4 or 5 times during a build so i can go back if i need and also helps when things crash. The .mod file i have since edited the ship to better fit the cut in the saucer so the gmax file and the .mod wont be the same. Either way shes not finished but will allow those that want to play to enjoy.

Nice start, but I can tell you right now that the saucer doesn't actually have the deep "valley" that you've modeled. You can see bits of the bridge area peek out at the top of the saucer, which implies that there is a depressed area (which makes sense, given Jaeger's Akira and Steamrunner designs).
