Call It A Night, Cowboy!
Slashdot only allows anonymous users to post 10 times per day (more or less, depending on moderation). A user from your IP has already shared his or her thoughts with us that many times. Take a breather, and come back and see us in 24 hours or so. If you think this is unfair, please email posting@slashdot.org with your MD5'd IPID, which is xxx. Let us know how many comments you think you've posted in the last 24 hours.
They changed the message today. I called them out on it yesterday. So they tightened the reigns and continue to deny their abdication of responsibility for content and enabling of bully members who control the content, who gets to post and what they get to say.
That's it for slashdot for me. The insidious nature of the censorship and their bold-faced dishonesty about it are absolutely disgusting. I'd almost be OK with it if they would admit what they are doing and be man about it, but no they continue to hide behind insultingly transparent excuses
slashdot.org - meet hosts file.
Note how at Dynaverse.net we assume at least some responsibility for the content and appoint unbiased moderators to the best of our ability.
The ironic part about it that these same control freaks who censor like mad, are the first to scream from the rooftops about the injustice of censorship elsewhere.
Don't tell me to register there. I did once, I made a technical post (no religion politics or spam) that expressed an opinion different from the slashdot groupthink and I was instantly banned.
Now they have banned me altogether.
It really is too bad, it was a good site in its day but has been taken over by parties with agendas and the power to carry them out there. Bye guys, have fun. Just like our Hot&Spicy forum section (closed to the public) all the reasonable members will just leave and you will be left with a self-important community that no longer has anyone to put down or censor. It grows tiresome for them quickly.
So come on slashdot boys, register at a real forum where we don't ban people for having their own opinions.
