Looking for Copy of GC II: Twilight of the Arnor
« on: January 23, 2009, 04:18:27 pm »
Hey anybody here have or know someone who has a copy of GC II: Twilight of the Arnor they no longer use!?

I have been 1st on the waiting list on Goozex for almost a year now and no one has traded it in.

(Goozex is very cool - and - if you want to trade this I can send you a friend request which will give you an extra 100 points with this trade - which is already worth 450 points)

550 points for this game is pretty good - as you can get a ton of excellent games for 500 or less points for many systems on the Goozex site - sent right to your house.

Anyways - drop me a line here or at empirecollector ATT gmail DOT comm if this sounds good to you.

Thanks!

You can't really trade that game in as it is key/account dependent so if someone wanted to trade it they'd have to trade their entire Stardock account.

It's the price you pay for having no CD check type DRM...

Hmm... well that blows...

Perhaps someone has an unopened or unregistered copy?

I actually trade a lot of unopened games on Goozex (including ones that require steam) as I find a good deal on them being at the right place at the right time...

Thanks for the tip, tho, I'll be careful to ask about that with anyone who trades with me.

Steam had a good deal awhile back. Something like 12-13 games for 80 bucks. HL, HL2, the other HL games, etc. etc.

Sorry man, I'm not at all familiar with the game you are looking for though.

Yeah - that was a great deal!

Unfortunately I already had purchased Orange Box and Left 4 Dead seperately...

Both are excellent and run like butter even on my old Graphics Card.

You have to give yourself like an hour betwwen playing L4D and going to sleep, however, or you dream of Zombies all friggin' night long!

Love that game!!

I only have up to the DA expansion (not the full Twillight) and the game is awesome.

Well - the problem for me - is I have not yet opend my Dread Lords 2 Gold edition (which includes DA) - and the latest patch just back ported all the new and substantial upgrades in TA to the previous two campaigns.

(but only works if you have TA installed)

So - now - I'm like - can't start until I have the perfection of perfection in place.

Not that I have enough free time to play these days anyways!

D'oh!!

Still - I'd kill for an unregistered copy...

Man, timing is everything - I registered mine literally about ten minutes ago!  I actually went in to pick up Sins of a Solar Empire, but they had a set packaged with the whole GC collection, so I just finished the process of installing and registering before I logged in to browse the forums here a bit.

dave

PS (24 hours later) OK, trying to come up to speed on both games simultaneously -- having a blast, but no idea where the hell I"m going to find time!

w000t!!!

Finally picked this up on an impulse discount (20% off)

Disappointed to find out you really need a quad core to get the most outta this game - but should be fun with slightly reduced AI until I can get good at it anyway...

(I doubt I'll notice the difference at my current skill level)

Now I just neeed 2-3 months off from work to get a game in!

;-)

Anyone else still enjoying this game?

How does it compare to Sins of a Solar Empire - or are they very different?

I (literally) just finished a game (Ascension Victory).

It was played intermittently so I can't really say how long but it was a long game.  I usually just stick with Terran (renamed as Klingon of course ;) )

I worked at ascension as I wanted to see how it differed from the tech victory in the earlier games which is rather like Stargate ascension.  In this version I've only had conquest and influence victories previously.
