me Kansas National Guard 78 to 82.

To bad none of the places out here have any specials for veterans, or I would go out to eat which I rarely do anymore.

Nothing much here, but the Golden Coral should have a veterans meal put on by the local DAV (disabled American Veterans)

USAF, 1973-1994..

Keesler AFB (Tech training)
Griffiss AFB
Clark AB, RP
Lowry AFB (Tech training to calibration career)
Hill AFB
Wurtsmith AFB
RAF Croughton, OXON, UK
Robins AFB
Camp Humphries ROK
Falcon AFB (now Schriever AFB)

Plus various TDYs and deployments

It was overall great,  now I work at Offutt AFB as a contractor in the calibration laboratory

Have a great Veteran's Day (HyVee breakfast was good..Golden Corral for lunch)

Canadian Forces here.

Remembering lost friends and other generations of soldiers who gave their all to give us today.

A Veteran-whether active duty, retired or Reserve- is someone who at one point in their life, wrote a blank cheque made payable to their country for an amount of "up to and including my life"

I salute anyone who thinks anough of their country to put their life on the line.  Any branch, and even other countries.  So a salute to our northern brothers (yes includes sisters also).

To all the veterans, here and abroad, past and present...  Thank You !    If it weren't for you, we would not enjoy the freedoms you have all fought so valiantly for us to have... to you we owe our destiny, and may we not dissapoint you.

I was pleased today when a visiting American scientist told us he was very impressed with how earnest our observance of Remembrance Day (Veteran's Day) is.

My father never met his; he lies in foreign soil.
