I went ahead and setup a site over at freeforums.org

the url is hotandspicy.freeforums.org

Go ahead and create a user account. We'll worry about mods later.

Ok folks. Looks like we've gotten quite a few people to sign up (about 7 so far). I hope the Dverse folks don't mind, I've been sending out some PM's to all the H&S folks that I remember.

I really hope that Dverse admins don't intrepert this as a slight against them on my part. In fact, I would love for anyone who calls dverse home to come to the new forum for all their hot and spicy needs. I would appreciate some official sanction from dverse, but I can understand if they don't want to do that. We did sorta sh*t in their house.

In any case, again, I appreciate all the fun and services that dverse has provided to us over the years...and I would like to take the time to personally thank folks like frey and bonk for all their hard work. I realize this site was never intended for political discussion, so hopefully we can get the new forum site up and running.

Well, for the most part we wouldn't need much in the way of moderation. Trolls can be quickly removed.

In some cases it sometimes takes a while to recognize one. Not all of them are obvious. The really good ones have "skillz".

I would suggest we start closed and open it up when we get it going.

Well, that is a site I was looking at.

But since you've started one there, maybe I don't have to.

I'm also reading up on some other free forum software. Remember I am starting from absolute ground zero on this, however, and will need a bit of time to figure things out and get stuff set up. Unless you are happy on your freeforums site, which means I can breathe a sigh of relief and just join you there.

All I can say is that I know of no objection when Macky posted about his unmoderated site.
