Assault Fighter

Just a little idea, a Warp Fighter designed for Planetary Assault Missions or controlling Airspace on Federation Worlds. I'm saying about 2160 or so here. It is also capable of fighting in space but the aerodynamics are more for atmosphere on Class M planets. Being Warp Capable adds the bonus they could be scrambled into space in a hurry to meet an enemy force. The Tapered back is where impulse engines will be.

Its all based on the fear of another war like the Romulan War and the need for quicker faster craft just in case that can be deployed fast and cheaply. I envision each can carry one Atomic Warhead.

If yall want it ill make it for SFC to replace the shuttle lol

Whats the poly count, because looking at the mesh it seems too high for a fighter. I like the design though.

before import 4k after import 7.8k i intend to clean it up

Here it is 4854 Polies, I removed the missles they didnt really fit

showing the BC texture job then ill cut polies the mesh doesnt change just the poly count.

Oh textures wont show hull lines on this, its small, though i want to put searing around the laser cannons and nose art

the version you showed at 4k+ polies is not the same as the one you are texturing. whats the poly count on the one you are texturing?

I'd say fairly high as there is alot of quads on the engine cones

Reminds me of Wing Commander, not the really cool old DOS game, but that sorry excuse for a movie.  This model's retro-look is far more attactive and makes a lot more sense than the film's fighters.

Good example of "bad girl art" right there...

Don't have all my tools with me at the moment (not at home), but I'd soften that just a little bit to give it a bit more of the "pinup" style.  Not linking to it, but if you do a quick Image search on Google for "pinup girl art", you'll see some excellent examples of the style.

With what tools I have with me, I slightly altered the nose art to give you an example.  (cleaned her back up a bit, and did a bit of a soften on her).

But I *love* what you've done here... it's looking great.  :D

Better yet, send it to someone for safe-keeping.. Lord Vader and I used to do that all the time.. this way if he had problems, he knew he could get me to send him back a backup and could pick up from there..

Btw, I can believe it was hard to find pinup Vulcans, I tried doing a search after you mentioned it and found a few Betty Page conversions, but didn't even find the image that you found.  :)

lol see its hard i ending up scouring every resource i had, the artwork is intact the models all got shot, thank god tiber was in my email after i sent it to be HP'd for bc and the SFC versions where already on battleclinic
