I drink a lot of tea, but no Sugar in it. Just good old fashioned sun tea.

Green tea, no sugar.  But I live next to Canada so not even close to being a southerner.  ;)

But then again, I am a Southerner to my Canuck relatives.

I'm not from the US, but my tea is a largely standard milk and two teaspoons of sugar.

Of course, we don't call it sweet tea if it has sugar..... it's the same as without and nobody thinks different... But having tea without Milk... that makes you either odd or foreign. LOL

If I remember right. My Grandmother who is from NE Georgia use to make sweet tea by first making a big old jar of Sun Tea... about two gallons. Then she would add 2 cups of sugar to the tea. It was plenty sweet.  ;D

 About a cup per gallon.

They don't call it sweet tea for nuthing.

I live off the stuff, drink about a gallon and a half a day.

I love it. I take mine with lemon. I allmost never drink pop.

there are also various "teaness zones" that are spread east to west.

Out west when you order iced tea, you get unsweet tea.  But there is a line that is drawn that if you are east of it and order tea, you will be asked "will that be sweet tea?"

Finally, there is another line, that when east of *that* and order iced tea, you just get served sweetea and thats that.

About a cup per gallon.  Slightly more after, and yeah, I live on the stuff.  Never heard of anyone using six cups per gallon before.  That sounds more like some kind of methamphetamine substitute than tea. ;D

that line is in texas around fort worth, some places only have unsweet some have both and some only have sweet its pretty even though with real resturants fastfood not included. But if they dont have sweet tea i will drink Dr Pepper as adding sugar to cold tea is useless it doesnt mix well, and i like my tea sweet real sweet, im addicted to chicken express sweet tea, if your from the south you know what i mean

I'm Southern, by the Grace of God, but I can't stand sweet tea. Give me an RC, or Coca-Cola instead.

Beating that, however, is always a beer. ;)

Im a Southerner. Two cups of sugar per gallon, with lemon. I drink it all the time.

We also make a drink using two cups of sugar and two cups of cider vinegar, then filled with enough water to make a gallon.

They taste great ice cold after working out in the sun all day.

Honestly, I don't know if RC is still around, but it's very hard to find them now down here. Tis a shame, because they blow Coke away(sorry Pepsi fans, but you're sucking hind tit when it comes to RC) and they're the cheap, yet tastier version of Red Bull. 2 cans of RC and you're wired for 8 hours.

Tell me about it! After sitting on a hot tractor all day in 100 degree heat, then getting a glass of it...Mmmmmm!

Tennessee? Must be where my family got that from. Some branches were in Tennessee from 200 years ago until the 1940's.

You can find RC cola at any convenience or grocery store around here. You can also find a couple of local brands called Cheerwine and SunDrop. I actually like SunDrop better than Mountain Dew.
