tiber class help
« on: September 23, 2009, 11:17:08 am »
My rocket got currupted and I cant reopen it, so im working on this, have been most of the morning and ran into a snag. The top pic im tring to weld those to vertices to keep this as a unified mesh, and im getting a threshhold error, and the bottom is just where its going, once i get it welded theres more work to the engineering hull and to the warp nacelles themselves

Suggestion:  Export to .MOD now, then if your mesh gets corrupted again, you can reimport.  ;)

did that as well as backed up to my external HD. We had a storm come in last night while I had gmax up, I went to watch Star Trek to clear my head and lighting hit outside and knocked out power for a few seconds just enough to currupt it lol. But ive saved a copy in .mod and a copy in .gmax on both main and external drives. And this is gonna be for both BC and SFC, gotta get some help for BC though, im not good with .tga files or hardpoints ect. Question does she look older than connie but newer than the Daedalus to yall?

and here is a treat ive started getting basic textures applied, of course there is more work to do to these later

here it is, not ready to release textures bug me, but you can see where its going, these where thrown together rough. I am happy though its my first unifed mesh, and there is no impulse engines noticalbe like the Daedalus class there part of the warp engines :D

though im gonna be honest, seeing the work of others, makes me almost think I should just stop, I havnt gotten much better yet, and no where near the level of the current crop.

Don't.

We all have to start somewhere.  :)

Release what you have, and someone else can play with the textures, usually they're easier to fix than the mesh is.  And noone is going to be a Leonardo Da Vinci overnight.  So don't worry about it, release and see what others do with your shiny afterwards.  ;)

rebuilt the entire mesh. Does it look like a mix of daedalus and connie elements but more advanced than deadalus but more primiate than connie?
