hitbox's the lowdown

Ok I know most models these days have them so weapons dont come from just the center, but how do you make and assign them?

hit boxes?

If you mean Damage Points and Hard Points for this game they are the Spine and Joint Functions used to make Skeletons. You just place them where you want them. Naming is game version specific.

In other Games they use special editor software to apply these things and they are specific to the game you are porting for

ok well after i get version 1.1 of my deadalus class done ill look into hardpoints ect

In Gmax click on animation tab up top and scroll down to dummy click it and size it accordingly to your weapon.  Look for shipedit in the dynaverse.net downloads area. It will have a list of hardpoint names you can use. Or you can import a stock sfc model points to get the idea of what to name and where to place hardpoints on your own work.

alright ill prolly import a stock frigate and just arrange them accordingly, this ship was about as well armed as the NX so it doesnt need alot of hit boxes lol. 5 phase cannons total and 2 atomic missle tubes, each firing one at a time, it shouldnt be hard to just use a frigate lol
