What ship are you using as you get anti cloaking scanners as for relocking on just press Y or T to regain lock on?You will need to refit your computer for the anticloaking scanners.I hope this help take the tutorial as it helps you in this area.

OMG the klingon campgin sucks, my BoP gets out manuvered by a pirate so I cant bring anything to bare, when I cloak even at low speeds the computer always knows where I am so I cant line up for my shot they match my speed and heading, WTF is going on, and to top it off the klingons get the worst firing arc's ive seen yet.

this is some screwy stuff a defiant class cant out turn a freighter, I understand SFC is base on SFB but this amazes the hell out of me, where are turnrates at, a defiant can turn almost on a dime, its just as agile as a BoP why do these small little ships feel like im tring to turn a damn a capital ship around in space. I could turn a Dreadnaught quicker in SFC1 and 2
seriously though where are turn rates, im gonna make these ships actully feel like they are small ships that can turn, and change fraighters so they cant outturn a frigate/destoryer type ships

Actually the Defiant is pretty agile in the game, but you also need to get upgrades.  You start with the base ship in SFC III, however, SFC III is ALL ABOUT the upgrades.  So a base Defiant class, whilst more agile than many other base classes, isn't going to be anything like the Defiant you see in Star Trek until you upgrade it to have better turn abilities, quantums, armor, etc...

ok I understand that, but still not being to outurn a frigate, i mean give me a break honestly thats nonesense. It took everything I had to kill 3 of these things simply because I couldn;t out turn the computer, I had to keep warping in and out to line up shots because they could turn inside of me at any speed meaning my weapons could never come to bare. thats a design flaw and a serious one.

I never had problem with the Klingon Camp as I find it is the easiest of them all and throught out the camps you want to buy new a ship.Dash is right though you have to refit your ship and the K'vort class is great at turning. That is what I started out in.I would play around in skirmishes untill you get feel for all ships and don't patch up yet if camp you will get disrepute.

You do have to upgrade. But remember your Officers are not well trained at this point, and it will reflect on every aspect of the game. Poor turning, low Warp power, slow impulse. etc.

One way to get them trained up, is to run around the map, and look fo the casino missions.

You dont have to bet anything, just leave. You will get no Exp points, but your Officers will get trained up.
You can do this as much as you like and avoid, hexes with enemy ships, untill the all become Ledgendary if you have the paitence.

Then they, and your ships, become flat out deadly.

 Kap`Lah !!!!

One of the main reasons why the first upgrade I ever put on a starship is the Thrusters.  After the Thrusters I'll upgrade Warp Power, then Weapons.

The same here. I will even trade down on transporters,or and also armor. to upgrade right off the bat.
That give me a boost on speed, and truning at the get go.
