FMSE Help - Duplicate Fleets
« on: September 05, 2009, 08:39:37 am »
I'm making single player FMSE missions for SFC 2, but lately I keep running into an odd bug:  an entire copy of my fleet is also created at my same start position and it's at war with me.

How can I eliminate this opposing duplicate fleet in my FMSE missions?  Thanks for any insights.

I've never had that happen to me with FMSE.... yet.... well not in SFC 1 homebrew scenarios.

What settings do you have for the game??

Do you run single player missions in skirmish or multiplayer settings??

FMSE doesn't quite use all the AI options for friendly or oposing ships. It isn't possible to preset damage on player or other ships. Neither can specific transporter beam up or beam down objects be set, as in the "Capture The Spy" scenario in SFC 1.

Perhaps FMSE 2 will appear with this facillity included.

You'll have to attach a scenario where this weirdness occurs and see if it can be recreated on someone else's computer.

The Klingons have many ways to fry a cat. I prefer to use an L7 Fast Battlecruiser!!

I've also run into this problem. I thought I solved it by setting the max teams number to match the number of teams. Seemed to work for awhile, but now the problem has come back and my fix... doesn't (fix it).
