Min/Max on SFC2 ? Why no alt-tab?
« on: June 22, 2009, 03:54:38 pm »
Why doesn't SFC 2 use alt -tab for minimising or maximising in windows theme?I tried this as I can do this in other games but why not SFC2 especially OP.It is not like I am going to play it on the Dyna with the rules around here but in single it is nice to be able to change channels on WMP.

Why doesn't it do this as it would be easier to even change TS channels?

It's because your resolution for SFC doesn't match your desktop resolution. If you go to the sfc.ini file and change the SFC resolution to match, alt-tabbing shouldn't crash SFC.

I have the same problem, desktop is set to 1024 x 768 while SFC2:OP is at 640 x 480, but I just keep OP at that resolution because it's so small otherwise.

Also if you do it anywhere but in the Vessel Library it will corupt your graphics. If you are using XP you need to use the Windows Key + D to "Alt + Tab".

sfc.ini is right in the main "Program Files/Taldren Software/Starfleet Command 2: Orion Pirates" folder. I believe EZini also can change resolution so you might want to give that a try. If not, just make a copy of the .ini file before you change it manually. OP must be the same resolution as your desktop... if OP is at 1024x768, maybe your desktop is different. If they are the same and it's still crashing OP, I don't know then...
