Are the mods going to continue to be listed in order of upload and will the page system get above 200 like it needs to for the Feds?

The search box searches on title & author.
At this time, there are no plans to develop the search beyond what it does now.

every time I use the search all I get are forum results/threads. I know there has got to be a missouri class on battleclinic...it's an old tmp battleship..But I can't even figure out how to get into the ship catagories. All I get are recent additions. Where's the race menu?

well I click community docks, I see the recent uploads, and I use the search at the top of the page.

I also tried the search from the page you linked me to, still forum results..no ships.  Some of the screenshots on ships are too large for my screen, and I can't seem to scroll the image, it scrolls the background (the info page) instead

Bonk, let me know what interface is best for you.
BCs new API is using soap, so we can either use that, or some XML feed for you to fetch, cache and parse.

Whatever is convenient for you, just PM me the url/request and I'll work it out. A simple xml feed might be best though, unless you want to play with the new SOAP API and we can jazz it up a bit.

I am having the same problems as starforce when it comes to searching battleclinic.

The search box searches on title & author.
At this time, there are no plans to develop the search beyond what it does now.

I understand that there are no plans to expand search functions, but I think that there is a small albeit growing sense of frustration with the search functions. I for one would love to see a an optional breakdown of authors (modeller, texturer, etc) We have a lot of group projects going on - plus there are people who take advantage of the ambiguity and upload a model which they did nothing on, but they are the author.

A break down of classes might be a neat thing too: light cruiser, frigate, destroyer. The problem with that is that people have different definitions on what is what - so I don't know if its plausible. I know that in the past when I searched for "Enterprise" it wouldn't find things that are labelled "U.S.S. Enterprise" (that may be a bad example, but there are certainly gaps in what the search engine was capable of).

A breakdown of eras: TOS, TMP, TNG, Post-TNG, Abrams-TOS, Other might also be a good idea.

Well all that would be nice and if you HAD those fields to begin with so they could be filled out as the model was uploaded that would have been great.

As it stands now someone would have to go through all the models and add that information, but if someone did go through them all at least all the duplicates could be removed
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

Remember the axiom of big government bureaucrats: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. When, finally, under the crushing weight of taxes and regulation, it stops moving, subsidize it.
