Loading SFC II on Windows Vista 64 bit
« on: May 20, 2009, 06:18:32 pm »
I have been playing SFC II on a Windows XP machine but no longer have the machine (both game and machine belonged to a friend) well I got addicted to the game.  My own machine is a Toshiba Satellite  with 4gb 800mhz of sdram with AMDTurion duel core running Windows Vista 64 bit edition and am looking to buy my own SFC II game. I was advised that it will not run on Windows Vista 64 bit. I am not looking to play on line but I love to do the skirmish and campaign mode only. Is there a step by step procedure out there that a non-tech person like myself can handle to make SFC II compatible with Vista 64 bit? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

John

I moved your question here to get more exposure. (the feedback board is for website/ forums issues).

I do not have Vista64 myself so I can't help much.

Have you tried it yet? Just jump in and give it a go and see what you get, let us know here and we'll help if we can!

P.S. I have a Toshiba Satellite myself setup for multibooting Vista HP / Windows XP / Kubuntu and I can point you in that direction if you want.

Follow the Vista instructions for Vista and Windows 7
"You still don't get it, do you?......That's what he does. That's all he does! You can't stop him! It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!"
