Damn that was fast.

Edit:

It looks like you have the saucer layed out like this, (from the top down)

Why not do something like this.

Nice work. I think it actually looks quite retro. Well done, man!

I think the best part of this is that it is both "standard" and not at the same time. It has a feel that the fanbase can relate to and say, "That's a Fed ship, no doubt, and from my Trek, too!" and  still have newcomers saying, "That's what they fly in the future? NEAT-O!"

Czar "Cool Beans" Mohab, who adds, "Fekn Awsome!"

Thanks All!
-Steelvipre, I opted the config as-is because I'm planning to use those outer domes as housings for the ship's impulse assembly :D
but if it doesn't work out, believe me, I'll opt your option :D
-Starfox, that's not a gun...lol  Rather it is the deflector dish's pedals in the "closed" position, when at warp, the pedals would open up wide :)
The whole assembly will be encased in a clear nosecone-type shell (like the way my Romulan warp bussards are, and most likely how this ship's warp bussards will most-likely be as well)

Cool Technical thought. With offset impulse engines a possibillity of menuvering problems croping up if one unit gets knocked out in battle. Segetion install a robust RCS system with multiple large thrusters for balance. Aplication make the thrusters texture based so as not to run up the polies too high.

Built in redundancy in critical systems, would be the more elegant way of resolving that. Rather than having an elaborate thruster system. That, of course, doesn't eliminate the need for cool maneuvering thrusters.

I'd think she'd be much to pretty for combat; but I would also think that under such a contingency, some form of backup would already be in place; such as vectored impulse exhausts, low-warp maneuvering, and/or the ability to port the impulse thrust to other areas to balance the overall flight.

I said she's too pretty to fight - I don't want you to think that I assume this is a cruise liner only style ship - the potential is definately there for a combatant! She almost has a Venus Fly Trap or Praying Mantis look to her (innocent yet deadly), as if her enemies would laugh until she put holes in their hulls.

Atolm - I rarely post to your works, but I have seen what you have done, and this is by far one of the favorites. I would love to see her animated if you could do that...

I thought about that but couldn't come up with a place to mount additional drives without maring the lines of the ship. You got any seggetions?

Cut-outs that the thrusters are sunken into :) .  That way, the lines stay, but you have more detail that is very needed :D

Hey Rod, are you incredibly busy?

Sorry, bud. I'm at a standstill modeling ATM. Still running on my old PC and it won't run my current modeling/photoshop software. Not enough RAM, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be up and running soon, though.
